Mallard Duck- Historically, wild mallards normally winter in Florida in widely scattered, small flocks and are seldom seen in large concentrations except in some of the northern counties.

Mallards are so beautifully colored and seem to really be dedicated to each other at least in spring. The males are called drakes and the females are hens.  The bright yellow-billed, with maroon breasts are the males.
