Not sure how this would work for a large personal type quit, maybe a baby quilt?

Quilt-As-You-Go-blocks to batting...and then add backing, quilting only in the ditch between blocks...interesting...it lets the quilting inside the blocks be creative, but you'r not dealing with the whole quilt and the back is just squares.

Quilt as you go method - very different from the one I've used in the past - great solution for large quilts

Each square is individually machine quilted with a different design and then the squares are joined using a quilt as you go method. The back of the quilt is just as pretty but all coordinating solids, which really highlight the quilting designs. Pretty and beautifully textured.

Cross block - Auntie Cookie - I'd like to play with this: use strips of different widths; use different fabric in the strips; keep center fabric the same but vary the strips or vice versa.... Good stash buster potential.
