Every Christmas my dad would do something different with our tree. One year he did cover the tree with tinsel-unusual as he had never used tinsel before or since. It is those little things that stick in one's memory banks and surface decades later... overflowing of tinsel as xmas tree! 1950

Oh! The days of icicles ~ I remember taking them off after Christmas. they were everywhere. We had to save them for next year.

Mom said the Christmas tree wasn't done without at least 2 packages of these (and they had to hang straight down). Would re-use them year after year.

Tinsel tree, but paint by numbers in the background! Yes! my mom And dad painted so many of the paint by number sets!

These trees have so much meaning to me ... they remind me of a Christmas in my family's passed that was filled with angst, sadness but also rebirth, renewal, magic, wonder & a MIRACLE. I'm going to write a blog post about it all, but difficult times & situations CAN be the start of great joy & prosperity. So ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH & HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAMS!

.My Aunt Lorene and Uncle Clyde had a tree just like this one. They also had the color wheel. This bring backs many happy memories!
