Great homemade Salsa: 2 cans of diced tomatoes 1 jalapeño minced 1/2 bunch cilantro chopped 1 clove of garlic minced 3-4 whole green onion (stem included) chopped up Couple shakes of red pepper flakes 1 tsp of salt. Blend it all together minus the tomatoes, then add the tomatoes and blend a little to mince the tomatoes. Add lime juice or it just doesn't taste good.

Stopped buying the jar stuff once I tasted this homemade salsa. Simple and delicious: Chop 5-6 Roma tomatoes,1 small onion and 1/2 cup fresh Cilantro. Mince 2 seeded Serrano or Jalapeño peppers and 1 clove of garlic. Add 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice and salt and peper to taste. Mix everything together and let sit overnight for flavors to meld.-This was more like pico de gallo than salsa. Maybe more like salsa if blended or put in food processor?!

Homemade Salsa (Directions: Blend 1-2 diced jalapeno peppers, 1/2 bunch chopped cilantro, 1 clove minced garlic, 3-4 chopped green onions (stem included), 1 tsp red pepper flakes, 1 tsp salt in blender. Then add 32 oz chopped fresh tomatoes. Pulse a few times to further dice tomatoes.) (Note from Angie: I used lime juice and canned tomatoes. It's very flavorful!! )

Pico de gallo! very good except I tweaked the recipe a bit. def not a 1/4 cup of cilantro, instead i used about 2 tblsp, and i used a lime and a half of fresh squezzed lime juice! :)
