Our own Dan Heims, plant hunter, breeder and co-owner of Terra Nova Nurseries, led a talk on new and exciting perennials based on his trips across the globe at the Perennial Plant Association National Convention yesterday morning in Atlanta. His talk, titled "Gems for the Garden," was a fun compilation of some of the newest, most exciting perennials, tropicals and woodies seen today.

She creates improved varieties through advanced techniques. Harini earned a M. Phil. and Ph.D in Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding from Nagarjuna University in India. Before coming to Terra Nova, Harini worked as a scientist in the plant tissue culture industry. Additionally, she has published dozens of articles in professional journals.
