Each student was asked to bring in a three dimensional object that represented our culture. This is my groups representation of our artifacts. My artifact was a picture of my Great Grandfather's house sketched on a piece of copper. The house is located in Rockford and is now considered a Heritage home. He lived there during the WW1 and WW2. I think this would be a great activity to do with students and a great way to get them to learn more about their culture as well as their classmates!
To expand upon this, the kids create a matching book with a picture of their structure (and their written description complete with labels, etc). You could also use a story telling app--creating a digital book to document and write about their work.
