Carpenters - A group that I loved in my day. She had a voice like an angel. Died very young from heart problems because of anorexia. So sad.
What's your favorite song by The Carpenters? Our favorite is "Superstar," which is probably yours, too. "Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby?"
Such huge talent! Karen Carpenter had a beautiful, immediately recognizable voice and she and her brother Richard were one of the biggest musical acts of the 70s!

Lamb Chop, Shari Lewis, and Charlie Horse... I remember this was one of my bday themes as a kid!
broadcastarchive-umd: Shari Lewis ( born January 17, 1933) was an American ventriloquist, puppeteer, and children’s entertainer and television show host. She was best known as the original puppeteer of sock puppet Lamb Chop, first appearing on Hi Mom, a local morning show that aired on WRCA-TV (now WNBC-TV) in New York City. NBC gave Lewis her first network program, The Shari Lewis Show, which debuted on October 1, 1960, replacing The Howdy Doody Show. The show ran until September 28, 1963, and featured such characters as Hush Puppy, Charlie Horse, and Lamb Chop: Hush Puppy had a Southern accent and a reserved, shy personality, while Charlie Horse was a slow-witted goofy character. Lamb Chop served as a sassy alter-ego for Lewis. (WIkipedia) Above: Lewis with her puppets, Lamb Chop and Charlie Horse, 1960s. Shari Lewis also wrote the Star Trek episode “The Lights of Zetar” with her husband Jeremy Tarcher. I know her best from her late 90’s children’s show Charlie Horse’s Music Pizza. I remember clearly when she passed away :(
Lamb Chop, Shari Lewis, and Charlie Horse..brings back childhood memories! This is the song that ever ends, it goes on and on and on my friends.......
