Sergio Leone (January 3, 1929 – April 30, 1989) was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter most associated with the "Spaghetti Western" genre. Brilliant photo!!! Born in Rome, Leone was the son of the cinema pioneer Vincenzo Leone and the silent film actress Edvige Valcarenghi (Bice Waleran).

Sergio Leone: Got hooked on his work when I watched The Dollars Trilogy. BUT, he also directed my favorite western of all time, Once Upon A Time in the West.
