Absolutely magnificent! And a hot air balloon in the picture too.. wow!
Michal Karcz is a big Steve Roach fan. The Polish photographic fine artist loves the American ambient soundscape musician so much that this photo, a delicate scene combining a floating hot-air balloon in some Mount Everest landscape, ought to feel quite loud and robust—but it doesn’t. Like most of Karcz’s shots and all of Roach’s music, it feels [...]

Naunton, England, beautiful English country side----Exactly where I would like to retire. English Countryside.
The English Countryside represents so much to me. For one, it is my favorite place in the world. This picture is in the Cotswolds, where I spent an amazing week in 2009. There I did an incredible amount of self reflection and realization. There is nothing that inspires me as much as England and I work toward it every day. I find so much strength and beauty there that I try to apply to every day life.

At ground level, the ruins of Stonehenge appear somewhat random and chaotic, but a view from the air reveals the monument's circular order. The site started out modestly around 3100 B.C. as a wide ring of wood posts surrounded by a ditch and bank. The familiar enormous rock slabs, some brought from hundreds of miles away, were added to the interior over a period of about 1,500 years.

Another beautiful place to visit
There are few places in Britain that are as mysterious and famous as Stonehenge, and even if it is blocked off and locked off for most of the year now if you reserve your time right and contact all the right agencies you can still visit it and maybe even experience some crazy druid ceremonies which are done fantastically well to represent the ways of the ancient Britain. Who exactly built Stonehenge and why is still up to debate and there are some crazy theories floating around but most respectable scientists and historians will agree that it is most likely a religious place of worship. Again how old it is exactly is argued by everyone even respected scientists disagree on it a lot. So far it is believed it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC but again there are disagreements and it is mostly believed that it was a cremation burial ground. Some Interesting Stonehenge Facts: Some other interesting facts about this most important British prehistoric monument include the fact that The first mention of Stone henge appears in the studies of Henry of Huntingdon from as early as AD 1130, It is older than all the pyramids of Egypt. People are still arguing if it was a memorial to fallen leaders; a place of magic and of miraculous healing; a burial ground; or an astronomical observatory that followed the stars and the moon. It was added to the UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1986. And of course it has been linked to the Arthurian legend more than once in more than one way increasing the ever massive influx of visitors to this ancient place. STONEHENGE MAP STONEHENGE ARIEL ABOVE STONEHENGE ARIEL VIEW To visit Stonehenge there are tours from London from several operators by bus, private cars, that also offer explorations of the surrounding country offer all kinds of options of lodging and are all very easy to find and use. You can book tours that are shorter to longer in several languages with several types of guides from historians to archaeologist from a couple hours to 10 hours and longer. The options are limitless the choice is yours and Stonehedge awaits you. The name can also be written as stonhenge in search engines. Top 5 Mysterious Places of Earth-part 1 In my opinion, of course. Places of mystery on Earth are those place where generations after generations we wonder about, try to solve the puzzle of their meaning, and we end up wondering even more. I am lucky to live in a place rich in historical sites; but i would be really lucky if i could ever travel to all the mystery places listed here. 1. The Great Pyramids of Giza- Egypt No other place in the world have captivated the mind and the soul of so many people like this place loaded with mysteries. The last of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World, declared in 1979 as a World Heritage Site, the Great Pyramids have embodied the ancient world ever since they were discovered by the western world. There are hundreds of the scientific theories regarding the pyramid's construction techniques, their purpose and secret meaning. Their fascination have inspired thousands of books, movies, articles and studies. If your ways will ever bring you in this part of the world, you have to visit the Pyramids, to see them, to walk the magic ground that hosted once one of the greatest civilization on Earth. 2. Rapa Nui or Easter Island Easter Island, a 64 square mile speck in the vast Pacific Ocean, perhaps the world's most remote inhabited island, is an enigma in many ways. The gigantic statues of this island won't talk with us. We still don't know much about this lost culture and their bizarre Birdman cult. How the Polynesians got there in the first place, why they built the Moai statues, how they did it, what is their meaning. Why are all facing the same direction, like waiting for something. Their Rongo-Rongo writing is still undeciphered. This unique written language seems to have appeared suddenly in the 1700s, but within just two centuries it was exiled to obscurity. Read more about this mysterious culture and his enigmas in this blog. 3. Stonehenge, England The megalithic ruin known as Stonehenge stands on the open downland of Salisbury Plain two miles (three kilometres) west of the town of Amesbury, Wiltshire, in Southern England. It is not a single structure but consists of a series of earth, timber, and stone structures that were revised and re-modelled over a period of more than 1400 years. Stonehenge is almost synonym with mystery, even if latest news say the mystery is revealed. People testify a special vibration connected with this place. For me no further archaeological discovery will take away the magic of this great site.
