Global Hunger Index tracks hunger/undernourishment (diet quantity/quality) in 120 developing countries (84% world pop). Measures: pop. %undernourished; pop.<5 underweight; <5 mortality rate. World GHI decreased 34% from 1990, but 19 nations/1.6bil have "alarming"/"extremely alarming" hunger (esp. Africa/Asia: natural disasters / climate change increase vulnerability to food scarcity)
