Very interesting article from The Economist about German-Americans and their assimilation into American culture. Not entirely sure whether these statistics actually distinguish between immigrants from various German-SPEAKING countries. Quote from the article: "John Michael [Kohler, an Austrian] . . . married the daughter of another German immigrant." Interesting nonetheless.
