YOU LAM! this is more what I am hearing you say is the "style" of your house but the other "structures" on the "for the home" board, would work better spacially/structurally - you can finish them with any look you like ie: like this one or any style treads/bannister/color etc - unless you go spiral which can be tricky with kids - speaking from experience with our house in spain and a few split heads!
