The tent effect was made with $1 plastic tablecloths cut in half lengthwise and tacked to the ceiling. It really gave the room a dramatic look for very little money. I also used the same technique to make the swags over the doors and archways.

smores bar, I think this would be fun to add to an event with my students.  who would not love to have a fresh toasty marshmallow with chocolate and graham cracker!  Yum!
