This circa 1910-1915 view of Walker Ct. (now Ada St.) is in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. Ada St. is basically an alley and those are the backs of the houses that fronted on the 1600 block of S. Throop St. The "grittiness" of Pilsen really fascinates me, the people who lived there really had to be tough in so many ways.
