LOVE Trumpet Vine too! I'm thinking I'll need to plant this on the pergola that I will soon have over my patio.

Birr Demesne formal garden arbor. Looks just like the steps leading to my Grandmother's house!

This is the white picket fence, arbor, and garden I dreamed would greet visitors to my house as a child. It takes me back to a sweeter time, when you wouldn't think twice to go next door and borrow a cup of sugar!

Arbor with clematis & bench seat. Arbors not only add character to your garden but are a clever vertical structure to grow climbers like edibles or flowers. They soften the frame, add colour, increase growing space and create a shaded nook. More design ideas @ themicrogardener.... | The Micro Gardener

Back view of the Poppy Gate (lower flower heads were turned around to add interest). Hand forged by Nottinghamshire based Artist Blacksmith Adrian Stapleton of Trinity Forge. Really delicate, beautiful, and I love that it's not straight across.

arbor dream - this would be my Grandma Mabel's dream home. She loved arbors and English type gardens.

Arbors can work in tandem with paths to establish a defined entry point. Here, the informality of the structure is reinforced by round pavers and gravel. Plants spill over the borders of the pathway for a sweet, cottage-style garden. Curves can either be traditional or casual; this arbor relies on a gentle swoop overhead. A robust vine rambles up and over the arbor.

so pretty. My fence should be done for this fall, I think something like this may be in order! # Pin++ for Pinterest #
