While this blog post is about a 3rd grade classroom, it goes into great deal about student choice, which is a tool that can be used at all grade levels. Choice boards based on learning styles allow students to take control of their learning, while the teacher is able to maintain rigor. Choice is a great way to differentiate and promote self-avocacy and independence!
