"Crack" Pie: seriously addictive. Who would have thought that a pie made with simple ingredients that are easily found in the pantry can be so tasty? It's definitely not the prettiest looking pie but as with many great things in life, look can be deceiving. This pie sells for $44 in Manhattan.
shredded coconut, agave or pure maple syrup (or 1/4 cup water and 2-3 stevia packs), coconut oil, vanilla extract, salt
Crack Pie is an invention by New York’s Momofuko Milk Bar. It is apparently as addictive as crack-cocaine and has thus been named Crack Pie. Oat cookies are crushed, mixed with butter and sugar and pressed into a tart case before being filled with a mixture containing butter, eggs, cream and sugar. This is then baked off until the filling is just set. Go make it! Now!
Momofuku crack pie. Put down your s'mores people, and try this. One of those things that is absolutely true to its name. I ate this at the Milk Bar in NYC ($44/pie and worth every penny...just sayin). It was so good that I've made this at home (just as good). Recipe is not difficult, but time-consuming. This one is posted by the Christina Tosi, the brilliant Momofuku pastry chef.
