How-Tuesday: Crystal-Encrusted Planter

PlaidPigeon is in Austin and I've seen these sold at their booth on S. Congress. I need to go and buy one for S's room already.

Saw these last year at Blue Genie, but in clay, this is a cheap alternative. Plastic Toys!

Triceratops Dinosaur Lamp

HAHA! This should almost be in "grin". Did you guys ever make one of those plastic toys for a dollar at the science museum? That's what these totally remind me of. They make my inner child happy while pleasing the adult me because of the repurpose... and succulents, of course!

Dinosaur Planter Tutorial: I love this! Although, I prefer the ones I saw that were hot pink (the color real dinosaurs were-- haha!) and had succulents in them (much more prehistoric looking). I'll probably add a manly little necktie to mine (or a big floppy hat, if it's a girl).

Or not worth reading, but definitely worth looking at!

Plant a Book Garden! No tutorial, however, just cut out a design in the book, (do a few pages at a time, so it's easier) toss in some great soil, add plants of your choice, sprinkle with water and viola' Done! *make sure to use a thick book*. You can even plant it in the ground when it starts really starts falling apart. What a fab frugal fun project! (books at the goodwill are practically FREE)

DIY Dinosaur Lamp!! ok this is not so much a MAKE as it is a WANT. i'll take the triceratops and diplodocus please. they're only 20 bucks!
