Robert Ley (1890 – 1945) was a Nazi politician and head of the German Labour Front from 1933 to 1945. A devoted Hitlerite, he was one of the very last prominent Nazis to see Hitler alive on April 20, 1945 in Berlin. Arrested by the Americans the following May, he committed suicide while awaiting trial for war crimes at Nuremberg.
