I saw this idea here on Pinterest and I just had to try it. My theme in my new house is Beachy Coastal and I thought this was a great idea to paint acorns in the sea colors. Here is a photo of how mine came out. I used Martha Stewart Pearl paints and also Liquid Pearls Paints to achieve this look.
Some shells that I bought and placed in a shell dish.
Sea shell candle holder that I made using an ordinary plastic lid, glue gun and shells. I purchased a flameless candle from Kohls that had sea shells in it. I got a great deal on the candle and wish I would have bought more.
I drew this image called "Seahorse Love" and colored it and added a background using Photoshop. I uploaded my image on one of those websites that makes your photo in to a canvas. I have this on a wall in my guest bathroom. You can purchase my images here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/pattiescreations
These are Sea Shell themed coasters that I made. I used canvas cloth and mounted them on tumbled stone tiles. I added thin cork sheets on the backs of the tiles so they don't scratch my furniture. I really like the way they came out and they were so simple to make.
Some mason jars that I painted and added rope around the tops. I haven't decided what to put in them yet! I saw some mason jars that were painted with a frosted paint to resemble sea glass and i think I will try that technique next. Come back to see what they look like...
A small section of my counter in my guest bathroom. I bought the frame with the shells already on it at Kohls. The sea horses in the frame are one of my own drawings that I colored in Photoshop. I sell many digital images at Etsy. You can check out my store here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/pattiescreations
