Individuals who drink coffee (especially at the amts listed) are already more active, likely skipping meals,etc due to whatever stressors are causing them to drink the coffee. Obv I have not read these studies - but the truth remains: so often our habits are governed by our lifestyles and those lifestyles cannot be controlled in a study.
