I strongly believe this is why relationships fail after 20 years. They weren't themselves when they met and then they wake up one day and don't even know each other. It's really sad actually, BE YOURSELF.

An abused pup hiding in the bush will almost always accept any form of kindness offered, even if only to be abused again. Finally old, tired and timid still will accept the temporary affection or "love" for whatever it may be worth. So many of us like the pup go through life losing so many amazing opportunities for true love and/or friendships... Because of our fear we are only ever in it half way.
