Five Facts: Bats in Florida

Mexican long-tongued #bats (Choeronycteris mexicana) eat pollen and nectar of agave--the plant we make tequila from--as well as fruits from several other plants. They have tongues up to a third of their body length to reach nectar deep in flowers, and a distinct nose-leaf.
