These red wings are warnings to predators to stay away

Red lacewing butterflies (Cethosia biblis) have a striking coloring on top of their wings to warn predators they taste bad. As caterpillars, they feed on poisonous plants like passion flowers, and the toxins stay in their bodies as adults.
