Looks cute but don't touch this caterpillar!

This recognizable little caterpillar is called a Saddleback caterpillar, or Acharia stimulea, and those very distinct marking are a vibrant warning not to touch! It may look fuzzy, but it's got what are called urticating spines in there, too. Contact with these spines could cause a rash or a require a trip to a doctor, depending on a person's reaction to the toxin. #moths #caterpillars #fuzzycaterpillar
