Trim 1- to 2-inch-wide solid and striped ribbon into 5-inch-long strips. Make a fishtail cut in one end of each piece. Fold a 1/2-inch flap into straight end, and press with iron. Cut 1/4-inch fusible tape the same width as ribbon. Place tape in flap, and lay string in fold next to tape. Iron flap to secure. Repeat with remaining ribbons, spacing them every 2 inches. Candy Necklace Trim: A party table draped in candy -- what could be sweeter? To make a sugary swag, cut through the elastics of candy necklaces, and remove a few rings from each end. Tie necklaces together to make a circle that will reach around your table. Attach to tablecloth with safety pins, securing from underneath.
Red, White, and Blue Ribbon Stars Use ribbons to create these patriotic stars of the party: garlands and festive straws that incorporate the colors and elements of the American flag. Learn How to Make This Craft
