One of my best memories of my dad was he used to take in, rehabilitate & release injured owls. All kinds and even a hawk once that someone hit, tried to save and ended up bringing to him. The local vets & animal control would call him usually when the got a call to go "take care of" one on the side of the road. Pretty cool as a young kid going to the grocery store with my dad, buying stinky raw liver and feeding them (with a glove) by hand!

You not getting in wearing those trainers :-) #bouncerowl

The Great Grey Owl does not have ear tufts and has the largest facial disc of any raptor.

:) Can't see me, I'm hiding!!

Doesn't this one look like she's just been asked to dance? "Hoo? Me?" So shy... so beautiful...

Striped Owl - (photo by Exmoor Owl) kinda looks like he's wearing a face mask :-)

I saw an owl just like this one, just sitting in a yard by the road one morning just a few weeks ago. He just sat there and looked at me like, "lady, go away. I'm having breakfast." LOL
