Seitan (say-tan) Recipe. I have made this several times and it is by far the easiest and best seitan (faux meat) recipe I have ever tried. I make it 2 batches at a time and then cube and slice it in different ways and then throw it into separate freezer bags for quick meals. Just pop the bag in the refrigerator in the morning and it is thawed and ready to go for the evening meal preparation. Much cheaper and more versatile than the premade version.
Vegan Seitan Bacon. Four words: Made it, loved it. Half batches are the perfect size for me. Remember to bake the full 45 minutes: I cut it down for the half batch, and the middle wasn't done. Still fries up great, just hard to handle.
Mmm, seitan brisket!! Gotta make this! It's the seasonings that make it so good and the right texture of the seitan.
