The world-renowned Eastern Market in Detroit, MI is an exciting part of our Detroit tour! Bring along some cash and enjoy a delicious local lunch!
The Heidelberg Project (Detroit, Michigan) was started in 1986 by the artist Tyree Guyton as a creative response to the blight and decay he saw in his neighborhood. His work, using paint and salvaged objects he found on the street to decorate the houses in his neighborhood, turned the once-threatened area into a tourist destination.
In the comeback-kid city of Detroit, the Eastern Market neighborhood—named for one of the oldest outdoor food emporiums in the country—is among its greatest revivals.
