DIY herb gardens. Cut the soda bottle or any plastic bottle with a cover. Turn upside down; attach to board. I'm thinking of leaving the cover to the bottle on; punch in a few holes to drain excess water, but not have the soil drain out also.

^Herbs >> this is actually not a bad idea. put 3 pots of herbs in the crates, fill the empty spaces with lavender and an orange here and there

back door herb handy to have them all together in one spot. must try this! I can't have a real garden here, too much shade so a deck garden is in order!!!

Usually you think of a walkway first and then perhaps add some plants. Here it seems as if the stepping stones are secondary to the lovely garden area!
