Contemporary aquamarine, sapphire, and diamond pendant. It's centered by a huge emerald cut aquamarine (79 carats!) surrounded by calibré-cut sapphires and old European-cut diamonds. Faberge La Lumière d’Été Necklace. This piece is set in 18 carat gold and features 382 multi coloured sapphires and white diamonds totalling 26.8 carats. The pear-shaped sapphire is of 6.28 carats.
The Victoria-Transvaal Diamond was cut from a 240-carat rough stone found at the Premier Mine in Transvaal, South Africa, in 1951. The pear shaped, fancy “champagne-colored” diamond was originally cut to 75 carats but then later recut to 67.89 carats for better proportions. Total weight of the 106 diamonds in the necklace is approximately 45 carats. The Victoria-Transvaal diamond was worn in the 1952 movie “Tarzan’s Savage Fury.”
