Der Brunnen an der Piazza della Cancelleria wurde 1930 von Pietro Morbiducci gestaltet. Er zeigt den Kardinalshut und das Wappen des Kardinals Ludovico Scarampi Mazzarota (1401 - 1462, Geburtsname Ludovico Trevisan), der den Palast besaß, bevor er von Raffaele Riario, auf den die Rose hinweist, zum heutigen Palazzo della Cancelleria umgebaut und erheblich vergrößert wurde.
