l have a set of books by Ansell Adams The Camera, The Negative, and The Print, the he was the one that worked out how to get that perfect B&W; image by using what he called the Grey Scale and you cannot do it with a digital camera.

More than beautiful calendars ;-) Ansel Adams is widely known for his dramatic black and white nature photography. He created the Zone System with Fred Archer, which encompassed the entire process from picture taking through development to create consistently great pictures. A great artist!
