Dr. Suess inspired hat and cupcakes! **TIP** if you make fondant/gumpaste items for the top of cupcakes, be aware that the natural heat that is in the cupcake holder will often soften your pieces. So....add your pieces at the very last minute to avoid melted cupcake toppers :-)

Briefcase full of money! Back story on this cake is that there is this little man who I've known his entire life. Anywho....I find out he's telling his friends that I'm making him a "stack of money" birthday cake; the problem was that I didn't KNOW I was making him a cake. So...unexpected emense pressure from my little man to prepare a cake to meet the expectations he set for me!! This is what I came up with!

I am so thankful to my daughter for her help on this cake! I am not a gamer, but she is and she was 100% involved in the design of this cake. Odd when I have to defer to my 12 year old, but she deserves a lot of credit for this cake!

Such an "emotional" cake! I really do love working on figurines, but I struggle because I just cannot get them perfect and! But, I gave it a good faith effort and I am thankful that I have clients that just let me have free reign!

So this request was definately thinking "outside of the box" for a recent baby shower. Sometimes it is fun to carve things instead of working on the traditional tiered cakes!
