This design is very simple and seems to be more modern and sophisticated. The large cropped circle draws you into the page but that's the only interesting point in the design. I do not like how close the bottom of the circle is to the text. It seems like it might crush the text. Everything else is very plain and doesn't seem as interesting

Although this is only one page, I was drawn to the overlap of text. I think using half of the picture as the texture for the text is creative and eye-catching. They could have easily made the words, "Yes He Did" in bold black and it would have looked good, but this meshes the words and the article with the man.
