Lock and Dam No. 11 - got a tip from my bandmate, Bill about this place to go see BALD EAGLES in the wild. We were able to see 4, and it was amazing. They were close to extinct when my hubby and I were kids, so this was a real treat. Take binoculars. The lady at Wild Birds unlimited told us January through March is best. Because the water doesn't freeze at this spot on the Mississippi, it's a good food source. Immediately above was Eagle Point Park, but it was closed.
