LeeRoy Yarbrough (pictured) drove his Ford Torino to victory at the 23 February 1969 Daytona 500 when he chased down and passed Charlie Glotzbach's Dodge on the final lap. It was the first Daytona 500 won on a last lap pass. Yarbrough won in a back-up Ford after crashing his primary one.
Beautiful advert for a car that never was. The fictional 1927 Hirondelle Open Tourer was an opulent, eight-cylinder, touring car costing and driven by Simon Templar, AKA "The Saint", the hero of a book series by Leslie Charteris.
