I like this idea. Start the year with an empty jar and fill it with notes about good things that happen. Then, on New Years Eve, empty it and see what awesome stuff happened that year. Good way to keep things in perspective.
Place pillows in the dryer with a couple of tennis balls to help get them back to their “fluff stage” and kill germs with the high heat. This is sooo important...I actually learned (in college) about all the molds that can grow in pillows if you don't do this and let me just say...DO THIS. Scary AND gross.
Creative new use for a jar ...... Memory Jar - filled with small items, such as the tickets to a theatre trip. Bus tickets when going somewhere you loved. Small pictures with a memory written on the reverse .. all sorts of things which would fit into a jar with a lid on. Would be a wonderful gift as a 21st Birthday to a son or daughter.
