Martha Stewart's weblog recommends that you tuck the sheet set (full, fitted, and other pillowcase) inside one of the pillowcases for that set. You can then stack your pillowcase sheet sets in the closet according to size—this way you won't lose any pillowcases, everything stays together, and it's easy to find the exact sheet set you're looking for.

Use a towel rod on the inside of the linen closet for holding blankets. (this is a good idea for back of guest room door too so if guests need extra blankets or towels, they are easy to find)
