This is a beautiful stone rubbing from and Bangkok temple on Maharaj Street. It was done on black fabric with gold ink or paint. Stone rubbings of temples in Thailand have been outlawed for many years because of the damage to the temples. This rubbing is of two woman performing the fingernail dance. A traditional dance of northern Thailand for royalty. It involved very intricate movements of woman wearing brass fingernails.
