Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Museum and School, 1805, a National Historic Landmark, Broad & Cherry Streets, Philadelphia: Completed in 1876, this two story, fireproof building is the best-preserved of Furness' exuberant Victorian structures, and one of the outstanding Art Schools and Museums in America. It is the oldest art museum and school in the nation.
This is the facade of the main PAFA (Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts) building, at Broad and Cherry Streets in Center City Philadelphia. It was built in 1871. Abby Heller-Burnham, Mary Harju, and Jenny Kanzler are all PAFA graduates.
