Gokcumen included samples from men in an old Turkish village center; about 25% of them had the Y-DNA haplogroup N, about 25% had J2a, about 3% had G, and about 30% had subhaplogroups within R1, primarily R1b. The Afshar people were also among those tested by Gokcumen; they are not the typical Anatolian Turks
