Brazilian footwear brand Havaianas celebrates its 50th anniversary on June 15. Established in 1962, the label retails today in 85 countries, with over 454 different styles available. June 15 also marks the National Flip Flop day and to toast both occasions, Havaianas launches limited edition 50th Flip Flop. mpossible, the company that produces instant film for classic Polaroid™ cameras, has collaborated with two photographers on limited edition silk scarf designs. Created by artists Sarah Seené and Cheyenne Tulsa, both scarves feature an analog photograph digitally printed on to pure silk twill, blurring the lines between the digital and analog art forms. Limited to a run of100, the scarves retail for 85 Euros each and are available online.
London-based consultancy Sample has announced that it will be working alongside artist and designer Zakee Shariff on her profile and limited edition series. Zakee Shariff established her independent womenswear collection from 1997 to 2005 and has since received further collaborative work across exhibitions, performances, product and publishing.
T-shirt brand 10T has appointed Blow to handle its UK press and publicity. The brand specialises in streetwear and showcases the work of emerging and established artists by printing their designs onto limited edition t-shirts. Formerly known as Maison Twenty, 10T was founded by artist and designer Dannielle Hodson who has created artworks and displays for clients such as Harvey Nichols and the Sanderson Hotel.
Today marks the launch of TV personality Lauren Pope's debut accessories collection in collaboration with Accessoryo. Taking inspiration from 70's boho looks, the capsule line of handpicked pieces includes embellished fedoras, feather necklaces, rainbow clutches and metallic details. The collection is available online with prices ranging from £10-60.
British designer Christopher Shannon has collaborated with lighter manufacturer Zippo for 2015. The partnership will see knitwear from the menswear designer featuring the Zippo windproof lighter, available from December 2015/January 2016, which debuted at Christopher's spring/summer 2016 show at London Collections Men. A limited run of Zippo x Christopher Shannon windproof lighters with three different designs will also launch later this year.
London Denim has announced its collaboration with artist Marco NFT on a t-shirt line, showcased at this month's London Collections: Men - see events. Marco NFT creates artworks for punk bands in the UK and US. Designer Simon King and Marco NFT have created graphic band t-shirts in three styles, inspired by the period of punk music from1976-78, entitled London Denim Mental T's. They will be on show at The Hospital Club for the duration of LC:M and available online from June 2015.
