I visited New York prior to 911 and was blessed to have been able to go to the Windows on the World restaurant on the top floor. Weird to think about whats there now...Central park was like a slice of heaven plopped in the middle of an overpopulated claustrophobic city. A carriage ride is the best way to see it all.
