Make Your Own Lava Lamp

A homemade "lava lamp" is an easy and fun thing to make with your kids. Here's how to make your own lava lamp!

Bubble recipe    Youll need:      2 cups water  1/2 cup liquid dish soap  1/8 cup corn syrup  large container for mixing      Pour all the ingredients into a large container and shake it up. (Empty milk bottles or Tupperware containers with a tight seal work great.) Allow the bubbles to settle for a few minutes before using.

Glow-in-the-Dark SLIME!  What a great party favor or Halloween hand-out!

My son would love this! Glow in the dark slime= FUN! Ingredients: 1 - bottle of clear or blue gel Elmer's glue 1 cup of warm water tablespoons of glow-in-the-dark paint Green Neon Food Coloring 2 teaspoons of Borax cup of warm water

Ice Cream in a Bag  This is SOOO easy… and delicious! In a small Ziplock bag, put:  1/2 C. half and half (milk works too)  1 Tbps. sugar  1 tsp. vanilla  Insert that bag into a larger, one gallon Ziplock filled with ice and salt. Shake the bag for five minutes. Kids love that part!  Then, remove the smaller bag which should have turned into ice cream. I did this in elem school and have been looking every where for it!

Keep them busy for hours! A block of ice with treasures frozen inside and a hammer. Great for hot summer days!

What a great idea. Make your own I SPY game with a VOSS water bottle. You fill it with rice and drop in little things to hide and then make a list of everything in the bottle for the kiddos to find. This is a great travel activity.
