The Belvédère du Rayon Vert was a hotel in Cerbère,France, designed in the art deco style by thePerpignan architect, Léon Baille, and built between 1928 and 1932. It has the overall appearance of a ship. It has its own cinema, and a tennis court on the roof. In 1987, the building was protected under the list of historic monuments (inscription). Part of the building has been brought back into use as apartments, with some original features. The building is open to visitors most afternoons.
Casapueblo ("Club Hotel") located in Punta Ballena (Whale Point) near Punta del Este, Uruguay. Citadel-sculpture that includes a museum, art gallery, and Hotel. Purchased sea-front property on eastern Uruguay's scenic, then-desolate Punta Ballena in 1958, building a small, wooden lodge, became Casapueblo. Whitewashed cement structure reminiscent of Mykonos, built in stages to resemble mud nests.
