Hydrangea rank high on my list of flowering shrubs. The colors are fantastic and you have a beautiful bouquet with no effort. I have some star hydrangea in my front yard, in full sun now that a large tree was removed. I'll be moving them to the shade garden so the blooms won't burn... My mother-in-law (a wonderful godly woman) would root her species Hydrangea by digging a shallow hole, laying a Hydragea branch in the hole (late spring/early summer), back-filling the hole with the dirt and placing a brick on top of the hole/branch. In the fall, the branch would have rooted into the soil just in time for a fall harvest to transplant. Miss you Bernice Moore!
