Engaging Brains: How to Enhance Learning by Teaching Kids About Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change itself. In the 20th cent. doctors believed that after a certain age, brain neuro-connections stayed the same and once brain cells were lost, they could not regenerate. We now know that neuroplasticity has put an end to that nonsense and that our brain changes constantly to optimize and reorganize itself by transferring cognitive abilities from one lobe to the other, particularly as we age.
