Bacon Wrapped Green Beans, roasted on wire rack. Brush with butter, brown sugar, 2 cloves garlic minded, salt & Pepper. Roast with foil on at 400 for 35 min and 10 minutes without foil. I omitted the brown sugar and garlic nonsense and make these for my 6 year old. Green beans are one of 3 veggies he'll eat. One piece of bacon will make 3 green bean "packages."
Soy Sauce Chow Mein - made this for lunch and it was scrumptious. I just used one soy sauce, sugar and water for the sauce, canned bean sprouts and a few chives from my garden. It would be heavenly with some cabbage. I also skipped the cooking wine since I didn't have any on hand.
GREEN BEAN BUNDLES: 1 1/2 lbs green beans, 1/2 c butter 1/2 ts dry mustard 1 ts brown sugar 1 garlic clove, minced 1/4 ts kosher salt 8 oz bacon . Add the beans to boiling water,for 3-4 mins, blanch, Drain, pat dry. Melt the butter. Stir in mustard sugar, garlic and salt. Pour over the green beans to coat. Refrigerate, covered, at least 4 hours. Make bundles of about 8 beans each. Wrap half a bacon slice around each bundle, secure with a toothpick. Bake, at 375
