U.S. Route 66 (multiple states). I want to drive it all, to see all that is left of the "Mother Road." The drive-ins, the old hotels, the roadside attractions - they were all part of an era when getting there was half the fun, which appeals to me.
I have always wanted to drive Route 66, all 2400mi of it. I drove from San Diego to Columbus, OH in 3 days, and passed all kinds of things I would have liked to stop and look at. I would LOVE to take two weeks and be able to stop when I wanted to, and have the time to really take in the experience. This would be such a great vacation, and would last a lifetime.
I captured the Route 66 landscape in pictures, from start to finish, on my trip along "The Mother Road." Route 66 - Big sky over abandoned Rio Puerco bridge, an old Rt. 66 river crossing. Built in 1933 near the city of Albuquerque, the interstate now runs along side it. "The Fine Art Photography of Frank Romeo."
"Route 66" by John Mayer. I like this song because I used to watch the movie Cars with my brother Andrew and I still like watching it today and this song was featured in the movie. I love that this song takes me back to my childhood and I want to listen to that while driving down the actual Route 66.
