Wonderful book series. Definitely worth reading them all! "What is MOBY About? In OUTLANDER, the story of Claire Beauchamp Randall was introduced, an English ex-combat nurse who walks through a stone circle in the Scottish Highlands in 1946, and disappears . . . into 1743. ...CNN has called it “a grand adventure written on a canvas that probes the heart, weighs the soul and measures the human spirit across [centuries].” Now the story continues in book eight, WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART’S BLOOD."
Doctor Sleep (The Shining, #2) by Stephen King

Though very different in form and tone, Stephen King’s “Doctor Sleep” was a welcome follow-up to “The Shining”. Worth reading if for no other reason to find out just what happened to those characters decades later. -Mike
Can't wait...Sequel to The Shining. Doctor Sleep Stephen King Book Cover - P 2013
Doctor sleep by Stephen King / Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special twelve-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals
Stephen King - Doctor Sleep. Book Review. When you think about iconic horror novels a few jump immediately to mind: Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and Robert Louis Stevenson’s Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. For more contemporary novels you might think of things like The Call Of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft, The Haunting Of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, and The Shining by Stephen King. If you have created a work of art that sits on such a high pedestal would you mess with it?

The Passage - Justin Cronin Not your run of the mill vampire book...
This book is AWESOME! It's a big book, but a quick read and the 1st of the trilogy!
i read this 2 years ago. i thought the story-telling was mesmerizing and it's one of my favorite books (i have a few of those). you ever read a book and you want to skip a paragraph b/c you want to see what happens..on the other hand, you want to savor it b/c you don't want it to end? then you stalk the writers website and berate him for not having a sequel ready to go?! (jusss kiddin'..lol). well, i am happy that the sequel finally has a date! The Twelve- 10/16/12 #simplepleasures
Forgot where I heard about this one but it's a post apocalyptic.

Great book... I think if I could say anything..maybe it is a little confusing going back and forth in time...but about half way..I got the hang of it!! Well worth reading!
Kate Morton, The forgotten garden (2008). A foundling, an old book of dark fairy tales, a secret garden, an aristocratic family, a love denied, and a mystery.
I have read and loved all of Kate Morton's books, but The Forgotten Garden is my favourite.

New book review from my blog, Summer Reading Project: Longbourn, by Jo Baker
Longbourn by Jo Baker. The Bennets’ house from Pride and Prejudice comes alive in this this story told from the point of view of the servants. The orphaned housemaid Sarah tells most of the narrative, as romance and intrigue abound belowstairs. Fans of Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey will love this historical fiction novel.
BOOK REVIEW: 'Longbourn' - Washington Times #Austenism #JaneAusten
Longbourn by Jo Baker Downton Abbey meets Pride and Prejudice in this imaginative retelling of Jane Austen's most popular novel. Told from the servants' point of view, we get a new perspective on the Bennett Family, Mr. Collins, and the oh-so-wicked Mr. Wickham. Well-written and entertaining, Ms. Austen would approve.- Judy S March 2014
Longbourn: Downton Abbey meets Pride and Prejudice. Putting this on my "To read" list.
